Projects & Opportunities
Each student in the Sustainable Agriculture program is required to participate in land or community based research, but we also encourage you to get involved in projects that excite you. if you are a community, government or private organization and you are interested in having a student help you on a research project, please don't hesitate to contact us.
January 2014 Work Study - Two Opportunities
The Insitite for Sustainable Food Systems has two Work Study openings for student research assistant in our Southwest BC Bioregional Food System Design & Planning Project. For details, please search "Sustainable Agriculture" in the Centre for Co-operative Education & Career Services database.
Events
Small Farm Sessions - Saturday Febraury 1st, 2014 - Pacific Agriculture Show. Join us for a free series of sessions focused on small farm management. We will also have a special Grower's Panel with some fantastic local farmers.
Spring Colloquim - last Thursday of the month, 4 - 5pm, Richmond campus. Our new lecture series will bring in guest speakers from our region to speak on critical topics concerning sustainability and food systems.
