Dr. Anis Rahman
Ph.D. (SFU), MA (University of London)
Dr. Anis Rahman is a Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Canada. He also serves as a Term Lecturer at the School of Communication at Simon Fraser University. Anis’s current research projects are about geopolitics of platform regulations, and race and ethnicity in global disinformation campaigns and its implications for local electoral politics and media policymaking. Anis earned a PhD in Communication from Simon Fraser University (2017). He also holds a Master of Arts degree from Goldsmiths, University of London with a Chevening Award (2008). Anis won Top Division Research Award at the National Communication Association (USA) and secured external funding for international research projects from Open Society Foundations. He has published research articles in Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly and Asian Journal of Communication, and has coedited an open access book, with Gregory F. Lowe, Public Service Media Initiatives in the Global South (SFU Publishing, 2016).
