(Mon April 9th 2018) - To make the Health Care Assistant program more accessible, whilst keeping in line with the BC Health Care Registry and other educational institutes, we're changing the program's English requirements:
- BC English 11 with a minimum grade of B; or Communications 12 with a minimum grade of B.
* New requirements will be published in the 2018-19 Academic Calendar in June 2018.
Note: The new admission requirements only apply to applicants educated in an English-speaking environment for 7 non-consecutive years of elementary or secondary school, or applicants educated in an English-speaking environment for 4 consecutive years of secondary or post-secondary school. Applicants who were not educated in an English-speaking environment must still satisfy the IELTS, TOEFL or CAEL testing requirements in the 2017-18 HCAP Academic Calendar.
