I have worked at KPU since 2014. I teach HORT 3320 Plant Pathology (Lecture and Lab) and other labs of other upper-level courses in the Horticulture Bachelor Degree program, and I also supervise students' research projects in the lab. My research focuses on the domestication of Chinese medicinal plants and medicinal plants in the prevention and treatment of plant diseases.

I worked at the Forest Pathology lab at UBC to investigate forest diseases and pathogen populations in Metro Vancouver, develop DNA fingerprinting for identification of the forest pathogens, and construct a DNA library of the top 50 unwanted forest pathogens in Canada.
