The IT Department typically performs required server maintenance on Saturday nights from 6:00 PM to 12:00 Midnight.  
During these times, some specified applications will be unavailable. A list of planned service activities will be published here.

Every effort is made to ensure that maintenance operations are as short as possible and have the minimum impact.

To enhance security, the minimum password length requirement has changed from 9 to 12 characters.

As of Thursday, July 11:

  • Current passwords remain valid until the next time they are changed.
  • New passwords require a minimum of 12 characters.
  • All other password requirements remain the same. 
  • IT recommends using a Pass Phrase. Visit this website to learn about passphrases.

IT will be upgrading login service affecting external service providers that use the Canadian Access Federation (CAF) for Single Sign-On. CAF is the trust framework for managing digital identities in Higher Education & Research.

There could be a brief sign-in interruption in the 48 hours starting from 7:30AM on Friday, July 26.
