Question 1: Does the car have to have 4 wheels?
No, not restricted to 4. 3, 4, 5, 6,….18… are OK. Not 1 or 2.
Question 2: After the 120 s trial, can a motor continue to spin while the distance measurement is being made?
Yes, the motor can spin but the location of the car should no longer be changing.
Question 3: What is the exact tape you will be using to mark the start and finish lines?
The tape will be black electrical tape. More specifically, "3M Temflex General Purpose Vinyl Electrical Tape" (see photo). In the original rules, we said we will use masking tape but we are making a switch. Apologies for any inconvenience.
