The CIR:CLE at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and The City of Surrey are pleased present: Plugged In and Tuned Out, a free public forum designed to help parents and kids navigate digital cultures.

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research: Community Learning & Engagement (CIR:CLE) strives to create productive interdisciplinary partnerships between Kwantlen faculty, students, staff and members of local organizations and other community groups. The goal is to establish strong, equally beneficial relationships with community partners, and maintain a positive impact for members of a community through long-term engagement.

The forum will help parents and kids to understand and deal with the growing influence of the digital culture. Discussions will include the benefits and hazards of technology in the context of child and adolescent development and the forum will explore practical tools and skills for parents who seek to encourage health and balance for their children.
