Calling all 2SLGBTQIA+ KPU students, employees, friends, family members, and allies of all abilities!
Join the Office of Equity and Inclusive Communities as we once again attend Surrey Pride and Vancouver Pride Parade on behalf of KPU!
The Surrey Pride Festival takes place on June 28, 2025 from 12pm to 7pm. We will need volunteers to help at our table and chat with community members. Shifts can be as short or as long as you wish. We are looking for at least 10 volunteers for this day.
The Vancouver Pride Parade takes place on August 3, 2025 from approximately 11am to 4pm. We'll be carrying the giant rainbow flag along the entire parade route, collecting donations for the Vancouver Pride Society Community Bursary Fund, and dancing to fabulous festive beats spun by our resident DJ Mx Prince!
We're looking for at least 40 volunteers decked out in their finest Pride gear who can be available to walk or roll the 3.7 km route between approximately 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. Tasks will include helping to decorate our vehicle, carry the flag, hold signs, take donations, hand out swag, smile, and wave!
