Restricted to students accepted into the Amazon Field School program. Offsite sessions will be 120 hours. Travel dates are May 4 to 20, 2018 but are subject to changes in airline schedule. Students must be nineteen years or older at the start of the course. Students will attend 60 hours of classes before, during and after travel. A schedule for pre and post trip classes/location will be emailed to registered students separately. DESN 3000 R10 is cross listed with ARTS 3000 S10—students may only receive credits for one. The first pre trip class will take place on January 12. Students will receive additional information at the beginning of the semester on 1) date/time of a 2-week off campus field experience, 2) dates for the rest of the classroom sessions and 3) information on the final exam that will be in the form of open presentations scheduled during the first week of September. Students must be 19 years or older at the start of the course. Valid passport with expiration date more than 6 months after date of departure and/or any visas/vaccinations are required. Restricted to students in the Wilson School of Design. 10 seats reserved for students in the Bachelor of Interior Design program–reserves will not be lifted. KSA student fees apply.
