Throughout art history, the human body has been a powerful influencer and has been central to artists and audiences' collective understandin g of identity, including notions of gender, beauty, sexuality, race, ethnicity, and power. In this seminar, students will explore and unpack case studies in art , across the ages and around the globe, that examines art production and movements through that most accessible and relatable lens-- the human body.
