Given the AGC’s state-of-the-art facility and technical expertise in genomics and metabolomics, collaborative research with them would greatly benefit the agricultural community, including producers at the grassroot level, and agri-industries. We are collaborating with the AGC to develop a robust and sensitive qPCR diagnostic test for the detection of parasites in BC crops. It was a great experience working with the Applied Genomics Center. Although this was the first collaborative adventure with the Applied Genomics Center, the staff at the Center have demonstrated a high degree of professionalism, cooperation and determination in achieving the end goals. Overall, it was a pleasant journey and looking forward to working collaboratively with the Applied Genomics Center in the future.
