The SRIG program greatly supported my capstone project by providing essential funding and access to advanced tools. It allowed me to use a specialized 3D printer capable of printing TPU, which was critical for prototyping comfortable, flexible heel structures. The grant also made it possible to purchase professional shoe lasts and source sustainable materials from overseas that aligned with my goal of contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This support not only helped bring my vision to life but also pushed my project beyond what would have been possible on a student budget. I’m truly grateful for this opportunity.
