The Student Research Innovation Grant has been instrumental in transforming this project from a theory-based initiative into a platform for real, tangible change. Most notably, the grant enabled me to financially access Polartec® Power Shield™ Pro, a PFAS-free technical fabric used in the development of the Otolith bibs. This support made it possible to produce multiple prototypes using this material, allowing for continued testing and refinement. I am proud to be personally wearing the Otolith Bibs during my time as a Saltwater Fishing Guide on BC’s west coast this summer.
