Receiving the SRIG grant was a turning point in my capstone journey. It gave me the financial freedom to explore specialty textiles and source advanced materials from different countries—something I wouldn’t have attempted within a restricted budget. This allowed me to design garments that genuinely addressed the challenges faced by menopausal and bedridden women. SRIG also provided support for a professional photo shoot and poster printing, which elevated the presentation and impact of my final deliverables. More than just funding, the SRIG program gave me the confidence to think boldly, take creative risks, and focus on innovative problem-solving. It supported my growth not only as a designer but also as a researcher and compassionate innovator. I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity.
