The SRIG program allowed me to present my Honours thesis findings to a broader academic audience. The SRIG program helped me secure my first panel-style conference milestone. This experience helped me improve my communication skills, confidence and interpersonal skills, as I connected with more like-minded individuals. I learned about different academic disciplines and how interdisciplinary some fields are. By participating in the SRIG program, I grew as a young researcher. The SRIG program helped me to gain experience that will be valuable to my graduate school journey.
