Being part of the SRIG program was an amazing experience that helped me learn a lot about cancer and how research is done in the lab. I had the opportunity to learn and apply advanced techniques such as viability assays, caspase activity analysis, and sterile lab practices. Even though I faced some problems like contamination and figuring out why certain tests didn’t work, these challenges taught me a lot and helped me improve my skills. This program gave me more confidence to do research on my own and inspired me to keep learning about biomedical science. I’m very thankful for all the support and guidance I received along the way.
