An Immersive Two-Week Journey into High-Performance Apparel Design

The Technical Apparel Summer Academy is a hands-on intensive program that introduces students to the dynamic world of technical apparel design. Over two immersive weeks, participants learn how high-performance outerwear is created—while building their own fully functional waterproof jacket from start to finish.

Working inside the industry-leading Wilson School of Design production labs, students gain experience with professional equipment, performance materials, and specialized construction techniques. The program includes expert demonstrations, guided equipment training, open studio lab time, and lectures on industry practices. Participants also visit several of Vancouver’s globally recognized technical apparel companies through curated factory and industry tours.
