2014 KPUAA Annual General Meeting

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an annual general meeting of the Kwantlen Polytechnic University Alumni Association is scheduled for 6:00 PM on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Surrey Campus for the following purposes
  1. To receive the report of the directors.
  2. To announce the election results.
  3. To receive and approve the unaudited Financial Statements of the Association for the period ended March 31, 2014.
  4. To appoint auditors.
  5. To transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting.

Guest Speaker:

Shane King KPU Alumni

Shane King, Dip’ 92, Financial Management. Founding member of the KPU Alumni Association and KPU’s 2012 Distinguished Alumni award recipient.

Shane will speak about what inspired him to give back to his alma mater and share his personal story of how he evolved from a student at KPU to a partner of a major accounting firm, followed by leadership and governance roles within KPU. He will also address how alumni can play a vital role as stakeholders for KPU and in the community at large.

Significant individuals along the way shaped the trajectory of his career and ignited his passion to get involved.  He will touch on his contributions, expertise, and leadership roles at KPU.

Board of directors' election

KPU Alumni Association's board election took place online from November 3 - 13, 2014. There are seven (7) vacancies this term and eight (8) eligible candidates in the election. Click here to view the list of candidates

To be an eligible voter, a person must be a KPU graduate who was granted a degree, honorary degree, diploma, certificate or citation by Kwantlen College, Kwantlen University College or Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

Election results will be announced at the KPUAA Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, November 17, 2014.
