Barcelona Field School 2017

Program Details                                                                                                                                                                                
Over the two week period in Barcelona, we will visit significant cultural locations and design projects, such as the Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell and the Gothic Quarter.  We will assimilate design theory and knowledge with respect to the context of site, culture, climate, geography, and explore design applications in an integrative learning environment. We will develop interdisciplinary skills in creativity, design thinking, academic inquiry, and cultural awareness.

 

Destination: Barcelona, Spain

 

Travel dates:  29 April – May 14, 2017

 

Classes at KPU: Pre-departure orientations and classroom sessions before and after the field experience.

 

Cost Program fee: $2260

Fee includes accommodation, breakfast, city transportation, museums, local attractions admissions and guides. Flight, personal expenses, other meals and tuition are not included in the fee.

Application deadline: December 15, 2016

Fill in the application form including $1100* deposit.

This deposit will go toward the program fee.

 

Classes Offered

DESN 3100 (3 credits)

 

Pre-requisites

60 credits of 1100-level courses or higher; or permission from the Instructor. If you are unsure of your qualifications, please contact us.
