Christina Shorthouse is a communications consultant with more than 25 years' experience in advertising, marketing, and public relations. In both the agency setting and in-house at large organizations, Christina has worked with senior executives to develop effective internal and external communications strategies.

Christina draws on her real-world experience with everything from large events to targeted media campaigns to demonstrate how well-researched strategies and creative tactics can inform and inspire audiences. A skilled writer and production coordinator, Christina has helped organizations to tell their stories through social media, press releases, annual reports, newsletters, brochures, communications plans, websites, and fundraising case statements. She loves working with students to reveal new ways that powerful storytelling can change hearts and minds.

Christina joined KPU's PR department in 2017. Her goal is to provide an inclusive, supportive, and creative learning environment where all students can have the best chance of success. (Students may be asked to sample baking in her ongoing quest for the world's best banana bread.)
