Sabrina Del Monte has been an instructor in the Diploma in Public Relations program at KPU since the beginning of 2013.  In September of that same year, she was appointed to the role of Program Coordinator.  She began her career as an educator in 2003 when she started teaching public relations courses through the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s (BCIT) Part-Time Studies.  In 2010, her dedication to teaching was recognized by peers, students, and administrators when she received the Excellence in Teaching Award for Part-Time Studies at BCIT.

Sabrina’s professional experience includes more than 15 years in public relations and corporate communications working for organizations within the private and public sectors.  The experience, knowledge and insights she shares with her students come from lessons learned working for Canada Safeway, the Overwaitea Food Group, the Paramedic Academy at the Justice Institute of British Columbia, Uniglobe Travel International, the District of Maple Ridge, and the Burnaby School District.  Her educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University, a Management Certificate in Marketing Communications from BCIT, a Diploma in Broadcast Communications from BCIT, the Provincial Instructor Diploma, and in 2015 she completed the Certificate in Online/eLearning Instruction through the School of Instruction at Vancouver Community College.

Sabrina is also an active member of the Canadian Public Relations Society and the International Association of Business Communicators.  In the Fall of 2015, she was invited to join the National Council on Education for the Canadian Public Relations Society for a three-year term.
