From Classrooms to Global Citizenship: Embedding the UN SDGs in K–12 Education

What happens when K–12 educators are given the time, space, and support to explore global goals through local teaching? This presentation highlights a unique professional learning community (PLC) led by KPU that empowered teachers across disciplines to design classroom-ready lesson plans centred on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We will share key findings from this collaborative research project and invite PLC educators to speak directly about the transformative impact of infusing sustainability into their curriculum. Expect a dynamic conversation about mindset shifts, creative pedagogy, and student empowerment.
