Braille your business card: Library Lunchtime Learning

KPU Richmond
Richmond campus library, front collaborative zone by student computers

Description:

KPU Library is pleased to introduce a new series of events called Library Lunchtime Learning.

Hosted at the library around lunchtime, each session will focus on some sort of learning, skill or education.

During this drop-in session at Richmond campus library, add braille to your own business cards or any other paper-based material! The library has newly acquired braille slate and styluses for our equipment collection (available soon to borrow), and this session is to show folks how to use them with hands-on time to emboss on your own. Drop-in anytime during the session time and don't forget to bring your own business cards or paper material to emboss!

The drop-in session is hosted in the front collaborative zone of Richmond campus library, near the student computers. Everyone is welcome!

The slate and stylus involves light manual force and the ability to grip and push a pencil-like stylus to emboss braille onto paper. The librarian can assist anyone who needs assistance with this type of movement.
