Only with the most egregious instances of racial violence do we hear calls to address racism. Rather than engaging with anti-racist education, institutions often recommend a variation of cross-cultural awareness education, which trivializes the problem of racism. Anti-racist education requires greater emotional, intellectual and institutional investment.
