The Office of Research Services (ORS) is pleased to host a webinar on October 27th titled Relationships, Reciprocity, Embodiment: Decolonial Methodologies in Action.

 

This session will draw from storytelling, land-based knowledge, Indigenous values, and Indigenous scholarship to explore: 

  • what decolonial methodologies are, 

  • how they differ from common Western/colonial methodologies, and 

  • what they look like in action. 

  

Participants will be given vocabulary, guiding principles, and resources to help them understand, practice, and embody decolonial methodologies in a good way.

  • Speakers: English faculty member Dr. Jennifer Hardwick and Gitxsan artist, facilitator, educator, and researcher Vicki Haynes.
