KPU is hosting an open house on Oct. 3 at the Surrey campus
Attendees can explore more than 140 programs offered at KPU, and apply for free

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) is opening its doors on Oct. 3 for a day of program discovery, activities, prizes and more.
“KPU Open House is our largest on-campus recruitment event,” says Dr. Diane Purvey, KPU President and Vice-Chancellor, pro tem. “It’s a great way to connect with faculty, alumni, students and staff, and explore the diverse and unique programs offered at the university.”
Held at the university’s Surrey campus, KPU Open House features an array of engaging booths hosted by faculties and departments, campus tours, free applications, prizes, activities, free refreshments, live entertainment and more. Rock 101 will also be broadcasting live in the Maple building.
Activities include a caricature artist, a henna artist, a photo booth and a roaming magician. Guests will also have the chance to win various prizes, including two $500 tuition waivers, tickets to a BC Lions game, a Samsung Galaxy Tablet and Coca Cola AirPods.
KPU is home to more than 140 programs — many of which are completely unique — in business, arts, design, health, science, trades and technology, and academic and career preparation. A diverse range of credentials successfully meet the evolving needs of regional and global employment markets, including bachelor’s degrees, diplomas, certificates, apprenticeships and graduate diplomas.
Prospective students can also benefit from free applications during the event, with representatives from the Future Students’ Office and KPU International on hand to assist and answer any questions.
The event is being sponsored by Coca Cola Canada and Nando’s. Additionally, Vancity Cedar Hills branch is covering application fees for all guests who apply to KPU in the application centre during the event.
KPU Open House is being held on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at KPU Surrey, 12666 72 Ave, Surrey, B.C. Complimentary parking is available all day on campus. The event is free, but guests are asked to register in advance.
