The Learning Gardens are a collection of four installations on Surrey Campus, providing opportunities for learning, lingering, gathering, and socializing outdoors. The Orchard Circle, Plaza Circle, Story Circle, and Wetland Overlook are all uniquely designed outdoor classrooms, designed seamlessly into the Surrey Campus. The Learning Gardens are an opportunity to showcase Indigenous art, support Indigenous ceremonies and encourage dialogue on critical issues such as equity, diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation. The programming of these spaces is anticipated to be enhanced through partnerships with KPU's faculties, students, and Indigenous peoples to showcase Indigenous ceremonial plantings and wisdom, student art, sustainability demonstration projects, and other installations.
