Celebrate Vancouver Pride with KPU - Volunteers Needed!
Sign up is now closed for this year! See you next year!
Join KPU and the Pride Advocacy Group as we once again serve as a Toonie Brigade in the Vancouver Pride Parade on August 6! Accompanied by our resident DJ Mx spinning fabulous festive beats, we'll be carrying a giant rainbow flag along the entire (brand new) parade route, collecting donations for the Vancouver Pride Society Community Bursary Fund!
We're looking for at least 40 volunteers available between 10:30 am - 2:30 pm to help decorate the truck, carry the flag, hold signs, scoop out and take tap donations, hand out swag, dance, and wave, and generally have a gay old time.
Meet up will be on Davie St between Denman and Bidwell in Vancouver's West End, and the parade ends near BC Place Stadium, an easy jaunt to Canada Line and Skytrain stations. 2SLGBTQIA+ KPU students, employees, friends, family members, and allies of all abilities are welcome; complimentary rainbow lanyards and KPU Pride or PDEC t-shirts are available for the first 40 participants!
