Areas of Interest

During my undergraduate studies, I took a course in Environmental Toxicology which inspired me to pursue a Masters degree in Environmental Toxicology. My Masters research studied the effects of a legacy pesticde and its metabolite on the endocrine signalling pathways in mammalian cancer cell lines. Some of the lab techniques I used during my research are taught at KPU, starting in second year biology labs and I love that I am able to provide students this hands-on, applied learning experience. At the end of the day, my goal as a lab-based educator is to teach students the necessary skills to do well in their studies.
