Climbing Arborist

What You’ll Do 

• Perform technical tree pruning, removals, and hazard tree removals using modern climbing and rigging techniques
• Operate and maintain trucks, chippers, stump grinder, chainsaws and other arborist equipment safely and efficiently
• Set up and manage safe work zones in compliance with industry standards
• Work closely with a crew and ground staff to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality work
• Uphold the DC Tree Services commitment to safety, teamwork, and professionalism 

What We’re Looking For 

• Minimum 1 year of climbing experience (MRS & SRS)
• ISA Certified Arborist or similar certification through ITA (TRAQ, WUAA/HEBC Falling & Bucking Endorsement an asset)
• Confident in climbing, rigging, and technical removals (opportunity for hands on training in the field)
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and motivated to learn
• Class 5 driver’s license (air brake endorsement an asset)
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
