Figaro’s Garden is seeking a Full-time Landscaping Team Member to assist with residential garden maintenance, small-scale installations, and seasonal projects.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors in all seasons, has a strong attention to detail, and values high-quality workmanship; someone who is passionate about thoughtful, environmentally responsible gardening.
Working closely with a small team of 3, we design, create and maintain gardens that support local ecosystems and reflect strong horticultural design principles. If you care about plant health, soil health, and beautiful outdoor spaces, we’d love to chat with you.
What You’ll Do
• Maintain and refine residential gardens using organic horticulture practices
• Plant zone-appropriate perennials, shrubs, and small trees in ground and patio planters
• Work with clients to support their small, design-driven installations and garden refreshes
• Build healthy soils through composting, mulching, and careful cultivation
• Use hand tools and small cordless equipment with precision and care
• Ensure clean, professional job sites and positive client interactions
• Occasional hardscape installations using flagstone, pavers and gravels
What You Bring
• Experience in landscaping or garden maintenance (minimum 1 year, 2 years preferred)
• Interest in ecological gardening and thoughtful plant design
• Ability to work outdoors March – November
• Attention to detail, reliability, and a collaborative mindset
• Valid driver’s licence is essential as is comfort driving company 1-ton pickup
• Ability to work independently and with a small team
• Capable of lifting 40–50 lbs of materials and supplies and perform physically demanding tasks

Hours/Wage
Full time – 32 hrs/week, Monday – Thursday; hourly wage $26–30/hr, depending on experience; extended health benefits included.
The Landscape Team is not operational from mid-November to mid-March; seasonal EI benefits are available during this period.
Note: Position begins March 2 or 9, depending on weather conditions.
