KPU Solar Eclipse Party 2023
Join us for KPU Solar Eclipse Party 2023!
KPU’s Faculty of Science and Horticulture instructors are preparing for a free, all-ages, open to the public experience involving the upcoming annular solar eclipse. In Greater Vancouver this fall, on Oct. 14, we will see about 76% of the sun covered by the moon.
Come and safely view the eclipse with telescopes and other equipment.
Some of the displays and activities to see: Find out if anything can actually be grown in Martian soil. Explore our Scale Model of the Solar System. See how scientists obtain information from the light emitted by stars!

Location: KPU Farm on Garden City Rd, between Alderbridge Way and Lansdowne Rd.
(A short walk from KPU Richmond, 8771 Lansdowne Rd. To access KPU Farm, follow path at intersection of Garden City and Lansdowne Rds.)
(If it rains, the party will relocate to the ground floor of KPU Richmond’s Main building where we will livestream the eclipse via NASA. Check this registration page for updates!)
