The SRIG program has been rewarding and a remarkable experience. It offered a good amount of resources necessary to fully explore my project. A significant amount of work was required for my capstone project, and without the SRIG, I doubt I could have progressed so far with my research and material sourcing. While some effort was needed to secure the grant and find the right materials, I wholeheartedly recommend that students complete the application forms and obtain the grant. Without it, I likely wouldn't have invested in solfex zippers imported from the States. Most importantly, SRIG contributed to my growth as a designer, researcher, and collaborator. Since much of the groundwork had been laid on my part, effective communication with researchers was essential in allowing us to dive deeper into our subject.
