Kavya S., Melville School of Business
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to take part in this project, which has been both professionally rewarding and personally meaningful. One of the most enriching aspects was the cross-collaboration with a colleague from another faculty. This partnership not only broadened the scope of our research but also deepened my own learning, as I was able to engage with new perspectives, methodologies, and approaches that strengthened the quality of our work. Equally valuable was the chance to mentor a research assistant. Guiding them through the research process and watching their skills grow—culminating in a presentation at an international conference and a peer-reviewed publication—was incredibly fulfilling. This mentorship experience was a learning journey for me as well, helping me refine my leadership and teaching abilities while contributing to their professional development and confidence as an emerging scholar. Overall, this initiative has enhanced my capacity for collaborative research, reinforced the importance of student mentorship, and provided meaningful outcomes that extend beyond academia. I am truly thankful for the support that made this work possible.
