Office of Sustainability

Nested within the Campus and Community Planning Department, KPU’s Office of Sustainability (OoS) was established in late 2023. The OoS is on a mission to improve KPU’s relationship with the planet through its physical campuses, operations, academics, and governance with the vision for sustainability to be celebrated and ubiquitous across KPU. We are committed to engaging our campus community to drive collective action to respond to today’s sustainability challenges.

We are committed to a holistic, forward-looking, and ethical approach to navigate the complexity, interrelatedness, and intersectionality of sustainability challenges. We aim to approach all sustainability work through a mindset and approach that supports and elevates reconciliation, decolonization, equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice.

Our Role

Sustainability is a shared responsibility of the entire university community, and the Office is here to equip all community members to take meaningful action. Our role is to connect, coordinate, communicate, support, and foster collaboration to advance sustainability at KPU:
