Decolonizing Educational Practices
Facilitators: Lee Beavington and Tanya Burnstad
Are you interested in decolonizing your classroom? Do you have experience with decolonial education practices? Want to be inspired by what your colleagues are doing? Join our Community of Practice for a chance to learn and discuss territorial acknowledgements, place-based learning, authentic assessment, Indigenous ways of understanding, and more.
Open to faculty, staff and students. Join a team of passionate educators and students for this supportive and experiential Community of Practice.
As part of this Community of Practice, we will engage with the Decolonizing Educational Practices website that launched in spring 2025.
Supported by the Office of the Provost, KPU Wild Spaces, The Teaching and Learning Commons, and The Learning Centres.
