Adult Upgrading Grants (AUG)
This program is available to assist students who are upgrading their education in preparation for post-secondary level studies. Eligibility is determined on the basis of assessed financial need.

For study dates April 1, 2024 - March 31, 2025:
To apply for AUG, you will need to complete both the AUG Application and AUG Fee Deferral Form for each semester you will need funding. Click to download the AUG form and open with Adobe.
Financial need will be considered as a qualification. SAFA will be accepting AUG applications by email only at finaid@kpu.ca
Note: All students must complete the entire package before submitting to Student Awards & Financial Assistance email.
Please include photocopy of Permanent Resident Card/Landing papers and your Notice of Assessment for 2023.
Eligibility
Eligible students will be Canadian citizens*, permanent residents*, and those with "Protected Person" status who are studying either full or part-time in one of the following areas:
- Qualifying Studies
- English Language Studies (ELS)
- Adult Basic Education (ABE)
- Academic and Career Preparation (ACP)
- Access Programs
*Limited.
