I am an artist based in Vancouver and my paintings explore the intersection of materials, life-forms, and historical consciousness. My education includes a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (exchange semester at Cooper Union, New York City) and an MFA from the University of British Columbia. I have taught at various institutions and venues, including UBC, ECUAD, VFS, and the Shadbolt Centre. I was also a partner in founding an independent art school called Mobil Art. I have exhibited across Canada and in the U.S., most recently at Addition Vancouver, SFU Gallery Burnaby, CSA Space, Art Gallery at Evergreen, WAAP Projects Vancouver/Vacation Gallery New York, AHVA Gallery at UBC, Surrey Art Gallery, and the Nanaimo Art Gallery. I have completed several Public Art commissions and published writing on art in Canadian Art, C Magazine, and Border Crossings.
