Patrick Findler PhD (UC Davis)
I earned my BA from Simon Fraser University, and received my MA and PhD from the University of California, Davis. My teaching and research interests are in ethics, metaphysics, and the philosophy of sport. I co-authored (with Doran Smolkin and Warren Bourgeois) the book "Debating Heathcare Ethics". Current projects include a second edition of that book, and a paper on mountaineering ethics and the duty to rescue. I am a co-founder, with Colin Ruloff, of the PHILOsurfer Convergence, an annual conference for those whose passion for philosophy is matched by a passion for surfing.
