Take advantage of the following networking opportunities to help you in your job search:

Networking Workshops

Learn how to network by attending workshops, offered by Career Services, on personal branding, LinkedIn, and informational interviews. Find a list of upcoming workshops in Career Connection.

Career Fairs, Industry Panels & Recruitment Events

Career fairs allow you connect with potential employers on campus, in your field of study. This is also an opportunity to explore different careers.

  • Attend Get Ready! Get Hired! in September to meet with employers and organizations looking to fill job and volunteer positions.
  • Business, arts, and science students, consider Career Day, which happens in February or March on the Surrey campus.
  • Trades students, connect with employers at KPU Tech Career Fair in the fall, on the Cloverdale campus.

Industry Panels - The Career Development Centre is pleased to host industry panel sessions to give you first-hand information directly from Industry. For more information, visit Industry Panel Session.

Recruitment Events Career Development Centre also hosts a number of employers on campus for special recruitment sessions in a range of industries. Types of employers include:

  • Ministry of Transportation
  • Loblaw Companies
  • Sony Pictures Imageworks
  • Bench

Alumni Events

Watch for events such as Where Are They Now? to hear from an alumni panel about their career journeys, related to disciplines such as the arts, journalism, criminology, and sociology. These events are posted on Career Connection and in the Career Development Centre event listings.
