At the KPU Wilson School of Design, our Front-End Development for Interactive Applications program is built for people who want both design thinking and coding skills. You'll learn in a hands-on, project-based environment that pushes you to think like the industry does, working alongside faculty who bring current, practical knowledge of both design and development into every project. Industry Collaboration
This program connects you to industry before you graduate, not after. You'll be mentored by working professionals, build a professional portfolio, and present your work at a final showcase attended by people already working in the field. Our Advisory Committee, drawn from companies like Amazon, MDA Space, Remitly, and Realtor.com, keeps the program connected to where the industry is headed.

As a graduate of our Front-End Development for Interactive Applications program, you'll be ready for roles in both the public and private sector, or as your own boss. That includes titles like:
- Front-end developer - building the visual, interactive parts of websites and apps that people see and use directly.
- Web developer - building and maintaining websites, from layout to functionality.
- Front-end web developer - focusing specifically on the interface and experience of a website, working closely with design.
- Junior front-end engineer - an entry-level role building interfaces within a larger engineering team.
- Junior full-stack engineer - working across both the front end and back end of an application as you build your experience.
- Front-end/React developer - building interfaces using React, one of the most in-demand front-end frameworks.
- Front-end software engineer - applying engineering practices to building and maintaining user-facing software.
- UI/UX designer - designing how an interface looks and how it works for the people using it.
- Interactive web designer - designing web experiences that respond to and engage the people using them.

Our Advisory Committee ties our program to real-world insight about what's happening in the field. This group of industry leaders works directly with faculty and students to guide curriculum development and to advise on the latest software and equipment, so you’re always training on current best practices and technological innovations. In turn, you graduate ready to work, often standing out to employers as soon as you enter the job market.
