Apply to a Wilson School of Design Program
Ready to start your design journey? Follow the steps below to apply to a Wilson School of Design program.
Step 1: Apply to KPU
Complete your application online through EducationPlannerBC.
If you need help completing your application:
- Domestic students: Contact the Future Students Office at study@kpu.ca
- International students: Contact KPU International at international@kpu.ca
After submitting your application, you'll receive your KPU student number and information about your next steps.
Step 2: Submit Your Supporting Documents
To complete your application, you'll need to submit the required supporting documents:
- Official Transcripts & English Proficiency: Submit your official transcripts and any documents required to meet KPU's English Proficiency Requirement.
- Entrance Package: Submit your Entrance Package through SlideRoom
Please do not submit an Entrance Package without a valid KPU student number. KPU student numbers begin with a 100---. If you need assistance with SlideRoom, contact design@kpu.ca.
Step 3: Interview (If Required)
Some Wilson School of Design programs require an interview:
- Product Design
- Interior Design
- Technical Apparel Design
If your Entrance Package is successful, and an interview is part of the admission process for your program, you may be invited to meet with faculty members. We'll contact you directly with further information if an interview is required.
Step 4: Receive a Decision
Your application will be assessed after your Entrance Package has been reviewed, and any required interview has been completed.
Admission decisions are communicated through your admissions officer via your KPU student email account, so be sure to check it regularly.
Step 5: Accept Your Offer
If you are offered admission, you'll receive an Offer of Admission by email.
To secure your seat in the program:
- Log in to your myKPU account
- Pay your confirmation deposit before the deadline listed in your offer letter
Your confirmation deposit is non-refundable and will be applied toward your tuition once you register for classes.
Step 6: Register for Classes
After you've accepted your offer and paid your confirmation deposit, you'll be able to register for courses.
To prepare for registration:
- Review your program model
- Plan your first semester courses
- Connect with an Academic Advisor if you have questions about course selection or registration.
Once registered, you're ready to begin your studies at the Wilson School of Design! We look forward to welcoming you in the Fall semester.
