Once a year, employees from across KPU come together on one campus to celebrate and recognize their colleagues’ achievements and milestones.
With music, food and activities, employees take a break from their regular work to connect informally and build long-lasting relationships along the way.

Diversity and Inclusiveness
We believe that innovation and human connection flourishes in an environment where each other's differences and contributions are respected and valued, and where individuals can be their authentic selves. At KPU, employees from a wide range of backgrounds and social identities draw on their unique skills, talents and perspectives to work collaboratively with colleagues in advancing one common goal: student success.
KPU is committed to providing a working environment that values and promotes respect, human rights, personal dignity, and health and safety for all employees.
Excellence in scholarship, teaching and employment activities flows from active concern and respect for others, including their ability to participate meaningfully in the exchange of information, ideas, beliefs and opinions.
All employees of the university have the right to be treated with dignity and respect, and they are expected to treat others likewise.
This is our commitment to all KPU employees.
Current employees can access Respectful Workplace resources on KPU’s employee portal.
KPU's Environmental Commitment
Previously named one of Canada's greenest employers, KPU is committed to fostering environmental sustainability through our offerings, research and operations. Since 1994, KPU has increased its building footprint by 36 per cent, but reduced natural gas use by more than 11 per cent and electricity consumption by more than 13 per cent. KPU has been praised for its sustainable travel initiatives, including electric vehicle charging stations (Richmond campus), and, in partnership with the Kwantlen Student Association, an inter-campus shuttle that runs between its Langley, Cloverdale and Surrey campuses and discounted carpooling services. The University also offers a range of degrees and diplomas related to environmental sustainability.
Health and Wellness
KPU offers more than rewarding career opportunities. Employee physical and mental well-being is just as important. With access to fitness classes, outdoor walking paths, bike lockers, seasonal opportunities to purchase organic veggies from the KPU Farm Schools, flexible work options, health and well-being resources, including an Employee and Family Assistance Program, and much more, employees can achieve a rewarding and meaningful work-life balance.
All KPU employees have free access to the fitness centres on our Surrey, Richmond, Langley and Tech campuses, as well as a variety of at-home fitness resources. Visit KPU Sport & Recreation to learn more.
KPU is committed to celebrating and recognizing employee achievements and service.
