Kim has extensive multi-industry experience in private industry both as a manager and consultant.  He has specialized in the area of implementing theories in consumer behaviour, marketing, strategic planning, organizational design and leadership into day-to-day routines.

As a Business Person

Before Kwantlen:
Kim spent 7 years as a co-owner operator producing and marketing wine and beer in British Columbia.
He spent 18 years with CIBC as a branch manager, a manager in the bank’s regional offices in British Columbia and Saskatchewan and the bank’s Head Office in Toronto.
 Managed a group of corporate consultants targeted at Fortune 500 corporations in the retail and manufacturing sectors.
 Senior Manager, Commercial Marketing Department – responsible for public relations, regional advertising, marketing plan creation and implementation.
 Manager, Merchant Services, Card Products Division during the rollout of Interac in British Columbia – Interac was introduced into British Columbia first in a phased rollout across Canada.
 Represented the bank as an industry expert in cash management and treasure systems as a public speaker and technical expert.
