Music courses run throughout the year. Please refer to the Registration System for published course schedules.
Minor in Music
The Minor in Music program engages students from across the university with diverse interests and musical backgrounds. It is one of the first local post-secondary music programs to decentralize Western European art music and instead embrace expressive cultural traditions from across the globe. It responds to the interests of our students and allows them to earn a music credential by completing coursework at the lower and upper levels. Students who pursue the Minor in Music will add breadth to their declared degree programs, and will be given the opportunity to explore topics and musical genres that are meaningful to them.
The Minor in Music also provides opportunities for students to explore the application of contemporary digital technologies in a range of possible music industry vocations in the entertainment industry and the digital realm. The integration and regular use of digital technologies in various courses supports the development of skills such as communication, collaboration, music creation and performance.
