Kwantlen Polytechnic University Eagles women’s basketball team is pleased to introduce a familiar face back to its coaching team. Matthew McKay joins the Eagles as head coach of the women’s basketball team and brings with him a home court advantage. He was an assistant coach with the Eagles from 2006 to 2008.

McKay brings extensive coaching experience having coached Fraser Valley Regional teams, B.C. Provincial teams and Best of the West camps. McKay is also a high school teacher and coaches at North Delta Secondary.

“It’s great to have Matthew back with the Eagles program,” said director of athletics and recreation, Elise Le Brun. “His experience on both the high school level and as an assistant coach at the university level makes him a great asset in this position. He is familiar with the players, and is passionate about the Eagles basketball program.”

Kwantlen’s varsity athletics teams are the Kwantlen Eagles. In basketball, soccer, badminton and golf, they compete in national intercollegiate leagues. For more information about the Kwantlen Eagles or view live webcast, visit kwantlen.ca/eagles or follow the Eagles on Twitter: KwantlenEagles
