Metro Vancouver.....The KPU Eagles are proud to announce their Sheraton Vancouver Guildford 'Athletes of the Week' for the week ending Sunday, November 2, 2014 as Ameila Worrell, Liberia, Costa Rica, of women’s basketball and Matt (Madison) Cooley, Delta, BC of men's basketball.
“Amelia was very productive and brought a ton of defensive energy,” noted Eagles head coach Dan Nayebzadeh, “She found a way to make a positive impact on both ends of the floor while taking good care of the ball.”
“Matt was a game-changer in terms of being very versatile on both sides of the court,” said Head Coach Vladimir Nikić, “He was aggressive on the boards, brought presence in the paint, has the ability to shoot the ball, and played the entire second half with four fouls to show great control, skill, and mental toughness.”
