Dr. Shelley Boyd, Dean of Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Faculty of Arts, is being recognized for her contributions to Canadian literary studies with the Gabrielle Roy Prize.

Dr. Shelley Boyd has co-authored an award-winning book about Canadian food culture.

Boyd received the prize for her co-authored book Canadian Literary Fare, which explores food voices in a wide range of Canadian fiction, drama and poetry. She co-wrote the book with Dr. Nathalie Cooke at McGill University.

Established by the Association for Canadian and Québec Literatures, this prize honours the best works of Canadian and Québec literary criticism.
