Open Singles, Women's (cis, trans & non-binary welcome), & Open Doubles Badminton Leagues

Spring 2026 Season

These Badminton leagues give each player/team the chance to outwit their opponent by smashing their way to a win!  All levels are welcome!

Each week, you are required to show the following to get access to our facilities:

  • Valid KPU ID card (Current Students and Staff only)

Minimum 8 players/4 teams required for each league to run.

  • Dates: Wednesdays, January 21 - April 8 (includes playoffs).
  • Location: KPU Surrey Gymnasium (Cedar Building)
  • Game time slots:

    Open Doubles League: 5:50pm, 6:30pm.

    Open Singles League: 7:10pm.

    Women's League: 7:50pm.

  • Cost: $15.00 

    Register in-person at Sport and Recreation Front Desk or online here.

    Waiver form required (parent/guardian consent & signature required for participants <19yrs).

Conduct & Guidelines - Intramural Programs and Tournaments

KPU's general rules and guidelines for intramural programs include, but are not limited to, these principles:

  • Open to current KPU students with valid student ID .
  • Staff and faculty will be permitted to participate if space permits.
  • Participants must complete and sign a waiver before participating (Parental/guardian consent and signature is required for participants under 19 years of age).
  • Participants, regardless of status, must follow KPU's Code of Conduct.
  • Participants are expected to display good sportspersonship, fair play, and follow the rules and regulations of the sport and league.
  • Foul language, hate speech of any kind, unsafe play and fighting will not be tolerated.
  • Participants must display respect for all participants and staff at all times.
  • Participants will wear proper attire and sport-specific equipment (if required) at all times.
