At the KPU Wilson School of Design, our Graphic Design for Marketing program is built around direct industry experience. You'll learn in a supportive environment that still pushes you, working alongside faculty who bring current, real-world knowledge of the field into every class. It's a rigorous course of study, and it's designed to evolve alongside the industry itself, so what you learn stays relevant to where design is headed — and where your career can go.
Industry Standards
Respect for and an understanding of maintaining industry standards and ethics is built into everything you'll learn here. Our program aligns with the Design Professionals of Canada (DesCan) Code of Ethics, and we stay closely connected to the industry to keep our approach current and grounded in professional expectations.
Industry Collaboration
Vancouver's design community is home to small studios and major firms alike, and our school has strong ties across it. You'll get access to field trips, guest speaker sessions, and workshops led by working professionals — plus practicum placements and mentorship opportunities that connect you directly to the industry. Many of our faculty have worked in the field themselves and stay closely connected to it, so the relationships you build here carry weight after you graduate.

- Specialist designer - focusing on UX/UI, packaging, advertising, display design, and more.
- Freelancer or entrepreneur - launching your own design business with the marketing savvy to back it up.
The field is broader than ever, and so is where it can take you, from building brand identities and launching campaigns, to designing everything from packaging to websites. See what our alumni are up to.
Advisory Committee
Our Advisory Committee ties the Graphic Design for Marketing program to real-world insight about what's happening in the field. This group of industry leaders works directly with faculty and students to guide curriculum development and to advise on the latest tools and equipment, so you’re always training on current best practices and technological innovations. In turn, you graduate ready to work, often standing out to employers as soon as you enter the job market.
